David Pappalardo

David's first major experience with dogs was when his dog Hunter (seen in the lower left side of our homepage picture) and a neighbor's Malinois, had pups when David was 7 years old. As he watched them grow, he knew that he wanted to work with dogs. David has since become a Certified Master Trainer, Police K9 Instructor and Decoy, Certified PSA Trial Decoy, PSA handler, and competitor, Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and Canine Behaviorist. He has graduated from
Tarheel K9 (NC) and
The Academy of Canine Education (NY). He regularly attends dog-training seminars and is a member of NTPDA, IACP, APDT, DVG, and is actively involved with various dog clubs. He also participates, organizes, and donates time and supplies to numerous canine charities, volunteer organizations, rescues, and animal shelters.
After representing other dog training companies, he started K9 Unlimited in 2005, providing canine training to a wide range of clients in the New York Metro Area, Rockland County, and in Northeast New Jersey, Bergen Hudson, Passaic, and Essex Counties. He has been training, handling, and breeding dogs since 1994 and stresses quality over quantity. He is committed to the betterment and education of all canines and their human partners.
He is willing to answer any questions without any obligation and is involved with each dog that is trained by K9 Unlimited.
David's experience ranges from Obedience, Tactical Police K9 Training, KNPV, Rings, PSA, Schutzhund, IPO, Personal Protection, K9 Search and Rescue, Scent Detection to Therapy Dog training, handling, importing working dogs,
and more.
